APW - Ball Illinois, 19J, 12S, heavy 14K gold OF original AWCCo case with eye-catching Royal Arch Masons Past High Priest logo to rear in 9 colors of enamel, recessed hinges, gold cuvette engraved "Presented to Roy S. Jackson, Past High Priest, Thatcher Chapter No. 101 R.A.M., Cleveland. O., Dec. 12, 1924," white enamel SS dial, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#B400951. Gross weight of assembled watch 48.7 dwt (75.8 g). A very colorful and unusual piece for the Masonic collector.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a sluggish start, crown requiring downward pressure when turning to engage winding mechanism suggesting possible need for adjustment of case sleeve, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some fine and micro-fine scratches; dial with light hls between 9 and 11, mild circular rub within seconds-register; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, rear enameling fully intact and with vibrant color, surface scratches to enamel; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
